Organizational Meeting Minutes

10:50 a.m., Wednesday, December, 2015

1. President Sandy Hayes called the meeting to order at 10:50 a.m.
   1. Roll Call: Gary Baker, Mary Friesen, Lillian Gates, Sandy Hayes, Ed Radl, Nora Schmidt, Michael Soule, and Director Diane Pillsbury.
2. Election of Officers
   1. Motion by Hayes, second by Baker to retain the same slate of officers as 2015 passed unanimously:
      1. President – Sandy Hayes
      2. Vice President – Nora Schmidt
      3. Treasurer – Ed Radl
      4. Secretary – Mary Friesen
3. BASCO Brochure
   1. Pillsbury passed out draft copies of the new BASCO Brochure for the Board’s review. Comments and a few corrections were made.
   2. Five hundred copies of the brochure as corrected will be printed on a motion by Hayes and a second by Schmidt.
4. Minutes
   1. Minutes of the November 2015 meeting were approved on a motion by Radl and a second by Soule.
5. Officer Reports
   1. President – None
   2. Vice President – None (oral report was given during Annual Meeting)
   3. Treasurer – Printed report (oral report was given during Annual Meeting)
   4. Secretary - None
6. Director’s Report
   1. Pillsbury has received and put on display the Accreditation plaque that BASCO has received. She also told the Board about new programs that will begin this spring.
   2. Grant – Pillsbury said that Judy Spring has assisted her in applying for an Aging Mastery Program grant. She will be notified of the winners on December 31.
   3. Committee Assignments
      1. Committee Chair assignments will remain as in 2015 with the following exceptions:
         1. Membership & PR – Mary Friesen
         2. Policy Development – Sandy Hayes
         3. Ways & Means – Schmidt will continue as Chair with the addition of Baker as Assistant Chair.
            

The meeting was adjourned at 11:25 a.m. on a motion by Schmidt and a second by Friesen.
